The Figueroa Highlands of the Santa Ynez Valley

The Kiani Preserve is an 8000 acre ranch in the Santa Ynez Valley which spans across the high hills and canyons nestled in the shadow of Figueroa Mountain. Rising to rocky peaks reaching over 3500' in elevation, this place is at once idyllic and mercurial, embodying both timeless beauty and power. It is a living monument to what can be achieved when we allow nature to lead.

Stewardship

As ambassadors of this land, it is through our agrarian efforts to both protect and enhance that allow us to harvest its bounty.
Each member of our team brings
passion and skill, balancing their years of
experience alongside a constant desire to
test the limits of the status quo.
Ranchers pause as they observe the herd move down into the valley.

All life on the Kiani Preserve is treated humanely and thoughtfully, with the utmost respect for its contribution to the whole.
Every aspect of the Ranch works to sustain it for future generations – human and otherwise.

The Wagyu cattle herd is humanely raised and responsibly grazes the Ranch’s native grass pastures year-round.
Like many aspects of the Kiani Preserve, its native oaks serve many purposes.
